Pirate Status

At the top of the view is the name of your pirate, your (current) nationality, your flag, and the aptitudes of your pirate.

The skill button will allow you to purchase new skills if you have earned skill points. Note that some skills cost double (2 skill points instead of 1), so it can sometimes be worthwhile to save skill points rather than spending them all at once.

The player gains a skill point at a minimum once every year (unless you end in jail), up until the age of 35. Once you have passed 35, your character's abilities have peaked.

Items will show what items you have equipped. Currently, this feature does not work.

Beneath this you will find the skills and traits of your pirate (touch the skill or trait to pop up a dialog with more information). The skills should be sorted according to

In addition to this, you can see data about:

Your reputation. Reputation is increased by defeating ships in battle. Relations with the different empires in the region. Your relations are worsened when you attack an empire or its friends.
