Evt governor happy.png Pleased Governor The governor in this region is pleased with you. A happy governor is more likely to give you missions and will make it easy to enter and exit his city even if you are wanted by the state.
Evt governor angry.png Angry Governor Your actions have angered the governor of this port. An angry governor will be more likely to have warships patrolling the waters outside of his port, and may not provide the typical services, even if you are friendly with his empire.
Evt pirates.png Pirates This region is plagued by pirates. Ships that travel through here risk being intercepted.
Evt pirate hunters.png Pirate Hunters This region is the last known locale of certain pirate hunters. Safe enough for legitimate traders to pass through, but pirates should take care.
Evt warship patrol.png Warship Patrol This region is being patrolled by warships; most likely due to repeated pirate incursions. Pirates may want to look elsewhere for easy prey.
Evt treasure.png Treasure Galleon A lone treasure galleon is rumored to have been seen in this region. Treasure galleons are especially powerful galleons carrying the riches of the new world back to Spain. Treasure galleons will usually sail in a convoy but occasionally a lone straggler or ship sailing to a rendezvous may be spotted.
Evt invasion.png Invasion A hostile invasion is currently underway in this region. Defeating the invasion would probably greatly please the governor of this region (and infuriate the empire conducting the invasion).
Evt immigrants.png Immigrants A major shipload of immigrants from Europe are scheduled to arrive at this port soon. Immigrants increase the prosperity of a port. Immigrant ships are also prime sources of skilled new labor (potential specialist crew).
Evt natives.png Natives There is native unrest in this region, and the port is likely to be attacked by natives soon. Defeating the natives would probably greatly please the empire owning the region.
Evt troops.png Troops A major shipload of new troops is expected in this region in the near future. This will boost the garrison of the region and may be the precursor of an invasion of a neighboring province.
Evt warship patrol.png Squadron of Warships A squadron of warships have been reported in this region. This will make the region dangerous for pirates, and may be the precursor of an offensive campaign if war is underway.
Evt port sacked.png Sacked This region has been plundered as a result of invasion, raids, or native attacks. The availability of goods and pricers is likely to be more limited than in ordinary situations.
